Parade of Homes Allows Home Owners to Dream Big and Small!

POH Wrap Up Blog ImageAs the doors close on the 2016 Parade of Homes we are thankful to the homeowners and builders for sharing their unique vision with us. We can’t help but continue to dream of all the beautiful touches on this year’s homes and how we can incorporate them into our own home.

The 2016 Parade of Homes showcased 16 homes from 14 local builders throughout Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Fall Creek, Mondovi and Osseo. Homes ranged from 1,600 square feet to over 4,700 square feet and were valued from $240,000 to over 1 million dollars! Over 5,500 toured the Parade Homes this year with some homes hosting over 1,000 people a day.

Parade of Homes has something for everyone’s lifestyle, not only showcasing the largest and grandest homes, but how you can live in a smaller footprint or perhaps in a home that isn’t so traditional. It allows people to dream big, become inspired through home décor, see new trends in housing, or simply admire home design. This year’s Parade Homes featured trends such as covered front porches, custom cabinets, sprawling staircases, tin ceilings, stamped concrete, wine cellar, a custom walk-in snail shower, and even barn doors and shiplap walls.

Parade goers who visited all 16 homes and/or voted in the Peoples Choice Award were entered in a drawing for $50 gift cards to Menards. Congratulations to Chuck Klaboe, Sue Schmidt, Andrew Vahey and Jeremy Voss.
